What is Malibu Surfboards' Online Return Policy?

We're thrilled to offer exchanges under the terms below. We provide a RAFE (Return Authorization For Exchange) for your convenience.

To initiate an exchange, you must request a Return Authorization for an Exchange number within 3 days of receiving your package and ship the package within 6 business days after receiving the Return Authorization For Exchange number. Please note that item(s) cannot be worn, altered, or washed. Refunds for exchanges do not include the original shipping cost.

RAFE numbers will not be issued after 3 days of receiving the package, and any items sent back without a RAFE number will not be accepted or approved for exchange.

Here are some tips for maintaining items in exchangeable condition:

  • Please be mindful of makeup or deodorant rubbing off on clothing.
  • Do not remove tags. Items without original tags attached will not be eligible for exchange.

We reserve the right to deny credit if the merchandise returned does not meet our return for exchange policy requirements.

How do I get a Return Authorization For Exchange (RAFE) number?

Please email order@malibusurfboards.com to obtain an RAFE number. You will receive an email response within 48 hours.

Does Malibu Surfboards cover shipping costs?

The customer is responsible for all return shipping costs for exchanges. We do NOT refund original shipping costs if item(s) are returned.

Am I allowed to exchange merchandise for another item?

Yes, we accept exchanges for other items equal to the original purchase price, or you are responsible for paying the difference prior to the exchange. You will still need to request a RAFE number for the return for exchange and place the new order for the exchange. If exchange merchandise is unavailable, we will issue a credit for the cost, not including original shipping.

The following categories are FINAL SALE and cannot be returned or exchanged:

What if the contents of the package are damaged or incorrect? If we somehow messed up your order, please notify us within 3 days of receiving your package. If it was our mistake, we will send you a pre-paid return label, and shipping will be on us.

How do I send the merchandise back to Malibu Surfboards?

Print your RAFE confirmation email and include it in the package. Pack items securely in the original package if possible. Write the RAFE number visibly on the outside of the package. Returns without an RAFE number will not be accepted. We advise you to ship with an insured service to protect your return for exchange.
